We will do our best to answer your questions in this profile. If you have further questions please email us @ ~ DO NOT call us unless you have filled out an adoption application which is located near the bottom of our home page @ ~ Many times we speak to a person for 30 minutes or more about a dog only to find out, after receiving the application, that there are several factors that prevent us from placing the dog in the home. We run a shelter and that 30 minutes is precious time taken away from the animals here, please respect this.

All dogs/cats here are spayed/neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested ( cats are FeLV/FIV Tested), on heartworm prevention, current on vaccines and microchipped, UNLESS otherwise stated.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angel, a Winchester Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Winchester, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Winchester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winchester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winchester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winchester paves the way for another one to be saved.
