Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Located in Redding CA
see our adoption process at
www.sadt.info
Taz is the cutest little dog, 4 yrs old, 12 healthy pounds, huge snuggler lap dog and loves toys and a lap over anything
would make a great companion dog for a younger retired person/couple he has med energy
which he expends easily running after or with his toys or after a ball
even large plush toys he LOVES those
Taz never had to share his life with other dogs but for a short time
which according to his rev. owner he was fine
He does enjoy being with another easy going small dog
not the hyper type
or only dog fine
He likes the toys to be his so if you have another dog small like he is
please be dog experienced and have your dog be non alpha
He's not much for crowds and rather stay home and go for walks and follow his owner around, play with his plush toys and sit on your lap he LOVES sitting in your lap but has done just fine being out and about
He has only ever lived in country settings but currently fostered in a quiet neighborhood
he's adjusting fine so it is doable for the right matching person
Taz is fostered with small and large dogs and 3 cats
he loves to chase for fun the cats are used to being around dogs
so are fine with that
or you need to teach him not to chase keep him busy playing with his toys
which he loves to do
He does not know or care to play with any other dogs
at least not yet sometimes it takes a few months for a dog to settle before they start to play
but he mainly was someones companion dog
so looking for the same
looking for someone home mostly during the day that has lots of time and love
but he has no problem being left inside a few hours a few times a week after he has settled
he's fully potty trained and does not chew but his toys
he's not crate trained and does not like being in a crate
does not need one
He's good on leash and riding in the car
We want him to be pampered and spoiled as a companion dog with a younger retired couple or someone that is home a lot
Taz is fine with company and visitors but has lived a somewhat quiet lifestyle in country type settings but has no problem living in a quiet neighborhood
He does like to yap specially until he feels comfy at home and fully settled
having his very own person that takes lots of time to play and snuggle
he won't have time nor want to yap
Taz is VERY food treats driven, LOVES to eat
that's why he's a tad round but not bad so please ensure
he won't get really fat that would not be good for him
Taz has a normal sized tail
Please be small dog experienced
we are not looking to place him in an apartment
he loves a fenced yard to play in
