My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hazel is one of the best dogs you'll ever get to love in your life. She's totally docile, but when she gets excited to see you she doesn't jump up to greet you she curls into herself barely containing herself from excitement and gets as close to you as possible until you have her wrapped up in your arms. There's a beautiful sensitivity in her eyes that makes her seem almost human! Hazel is truly special is wonderful with kids and is more than ready to welcome a loving forever home.

Hazel & Pearl's rescue story:

It's hard to imagine two sweet and loving pitbulls, stuck out as strays in the cold before they were rescued. These girls were emaciated and desperate when our good friend, Kathy, stumbled upon them. Doing what she could, Kathy fed them whenever they'd come around and because they were desperate for food they relied on her kindness and compassion, eventually staying in the local area of Watts for good.

Kathy immediately posted and sent pleas for a reputable rescue to take the girls, but it was to no avail. Fearing the worst, that the girls would be picked up to be used as fighting/bait dogs, or possibly even get shot by local gang members, Kathy showed up at all hours of the day for them trying to reassure them that she was there trying to gain their trust.

As the winter months grew more and more frigid, Kathy did what she could dropping off food and blankets in the enclosed area where they usually roamed about. She relayed to us one night a very heart wrenching scene as she had just left food for them. At this point, she had managed to gain enough of their trust and as she laid a kiss on each of their heads, the girls started to whimper because they didn't want her to leave. These girls needed off the streets right then and our rescue decided to take them in.

Both girls are approximately 14 to 16 months.

The adoption fee of $320.00 includes dental cleaning, spay, microchip, vaccination, fecal test, heartworm test.
