Big Boy SOS's Story...
AVAILABLE 10-13-15 Big Boy came in with a female Husky that he had been living with. He is house trained and loves long walks and lots of toys. This hansom boy will do well in a home with a family where someone is home with him to cuddle with and just hang out. He has been in a couple of homes and need his forever one. Big Boy is an awesome companion for adults and kids alike. His last owner reported that he was also good with the four Chihuahuas and cats in the home. Big Boy loves leash walks and waddles gently along. This sweetie is always smiling. He could go home with you today; if you want to see that smile forever come on into the Shelter in Elizabeth City and ask for the one and only Big Boy. ***He also falls under our SOS Program (adopters 55 and over get any pet 5 years or older for 50% off the adoption fee)***

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Big Boy SOS, a Elizabeth City American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Elizabeth City, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Elizabeth City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elizabeth City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elizabeth City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elizabeth City paves the way for another one to be saved.
