My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

HERE’S DOMINO! This handsome lad is an 18 lb, b/w, 4 yr old Lhasa Tzu, who came from the Hesperia Shelter. When he arrived at LHH, he was screaming in pain. We took xrays and poor baby had a broken neck and was lucky to be alive. Off to Dr. Barry he went — the best neurosurgeon in CA! Now, you would never know that Domino had anything wrong with him!! Domino is the closest thing to a perfect pup there is! He is a gentleman, walks beautifully on leash — with a true pep in his step. He is quiet and gets along with everyone — from humans to canines to felines! He does enjoy stuffed toys, and bonds FAST to his favorite human. So much so, you have to watch your step, as he will likely be underfoot so he can be that close to you! He is even potty trained (but we never guarantee) He does have a big appetite … he’s “that kid” who will finish their meal and your leftovers too! His foster mom tells us it was hard to keep contained during his recovery because all he wants to do is play and love you! If you are looking for a dog to sit on your lap, that would not be Domino….but he loves to sit by you…and does not demand to sleep on your bed…in fact, prefers his own! Domino has healed but should be cautious not to jump up and down on furniture, although he can, he shouldn’t too much. Domino is a lucky boy…and any family will be lucky to adopt him. Kids over 8 yrs old great and he’d love to be part of a pack — doesn’t like being left behind, but does not have separation anxiety. Just loves company! Is he for you? He’s a knockout!!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at Lhasa Happy Homes
