Once an overlooked Kentucky shelter dog, this snuggly, gal (and her unmistakable ears) have taken the Twin Cities by storm! Fiona is housebroken, and walks well on a leash with a front-hook harness. She is kenneled when her foster family is at work, but they give her free reign of their home for shorter stints. Fiona loves to be cozy, and burrows under the sheets of her foster family's bed at night. Fiona has become best buds with her canine foster brother, and adores her foster family's cat, as her whole body wiggles with excitement when she greets her feline friend.

Like most pitties, this charming gal approaches everything in life with gusto, including her play style and affection. Although she enjoys the company of other dogs, particularly small or reactive dogs often find her too exuberant. Fiona would be happy as the only dog in a home, or a home with a medium to large sized that is either very calm, or welcomes wrestling play. Fiona's foster family doesn't have kids, but she has been very loving and gentle with all of the children she has met. She would do best in a home with children that are accustomed to strong or playful dogs.

Fiona is a pro at "sit" and is doing very well with recall and "down." Fiona rides great in the car, and has not met a toy she doesn't like! She does best with two daily walks and would love to find a forever family that enjoys play, snuggles and walks as much as she does. Fiona is estimated to be about 3 years old and weighs 45 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed.

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday March 5, 2016, at Fetch Delivers Warehouse, 783 Harding St. NE. Suite 150, Minneapolis, MN 55413, from noon - 2 pm. Occasionally dogs cannot make it to the Meet & Greet, therefore feel free to verify if your dog of interest is able to attend. Please bring a copy of your pre-adoption application.
