Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Tiny! Don't let her name fool you, she's a large dog, weighing 60lbs. She is a year old and is full of youthful eagerness to learn new skills.
Tiny is the beautiful combination of Pitbull and Pyrenees. She has the gentle, laid back demenour of the Great Pyrenees, but with a touch of spunk, lots of loyalty, physical strength, and the ‘I don't want to be further than an inch away from you’ attitude from the Pitbull breed.
Tiny is great with dogs, with proper introductions of course. Her foster home has a cat, but Tiny’s attention does need to be redirected when it approaches. Her previous home did have children, which she's known to be good with, but because of her size, strength, and bad habit of jumping (her foster home is working on this), she's best fit with older children.
Although Tiny does well with other dogs, she would be happiest in a single dog home, just because she wants ALL your attention, or a home with another dog that is more aloof and independent than her.
Tiny loves to hike, run with her crazy legs through the trees, and most importantly, cuddle up where it's warm right beside you. She is a dog that truly needs to be your shadow, and a part of everything you do. She does whine and bark when left home alone, but so far she has been a good girl when left free in the house. As long as she gets two good walks in a day, she's found lounging and calm as a cucumber in her favourite nap spots.
Tiny’s Pyrenees nature does kick in when left outside, she does tend to wander, and because of this, requires a home with a fully fenced back yard.
She is not kennel trained and did not do well in one while at the dog pound.
Tiny is good off leash in areas she knows, on leash she's also okay, but needs work. Tiny would be best with a handler that knew the bully breeds well, because when she gets excited and pulls, she can be tough to manage.
This smart girl would also do well at obedience classes, she's smart and willing to do anything for her best friends. Because of her love of people, need for affection, and calm composure when attended to, Tiny could be an amazing therapy dog that would light up any room. She loves all people and submissively sits at your feet, looking up with wanting and gentle eyes.
I can't express enough her willingness to love and be loved.
If you are looking for a best friend and a shadow, you are active daily, understand the bully breeds, are interested in some formal training or therapy work with a dog, and want to reflect the same kind eyes that Tiny has for her people, this beauty might be the dog for you.
