Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE! Check out my new video with me "workin' it" in obedience class. I'm a real smart, sweetheart of a guy!
Mickey is a peppy, hug-lovin’ dude who is ready to find his forever home. He loves long walks by the lake, sniffing out the hottest scents on nature trails, and providing the highest quality of entertainment for your guests at your dinner parties. His party tricks include giving hugs, sitting, laying, and jumping on an bench *on command* (note that his repertoire is growing with practice and patience). When I met Mick, he had a wonderful excitement that was slightly overwhelming, but after spending the day with him (and with a little help from Milk Bone), he and I began working on his manners. Though our day started out the rough side (no pun intended), the improvement I saw in this guy’s behavior in the hour and a half we spent together was astounding. Of the dogs I’ve spent time with, he is by far the most attentive. He is ready to learn all the tricks and manners you’d like him to know and have, he just asks that you be patient with him. And once your day of activity and training is over, he’d love cuddle up with you on the couch to catch the latest episode of your favorite show.
Weighing in just under 40 lbs, the ideal home for this lug has a big yard for stretching his legs and another four legged friend of similar size for him to play with. If he can’t stay outside during the day, that’s okay because he is kennel-trained. As for car rides, we haven’t yet had the opportunity to take one, but I can just see him hanging out of the window enjoying the breeze!
Back in October, Mickey was temporarily relocated to CAA by his owner due to her moving away and not being able to bring him along. His stay here has been longer than most, and though he has enjoyed meeting and making lots of new friends, he is ready to meet the people he will not only get to call his friends, but also his family. He is only a year and nine months, so he’ll be with you through all of life’s adventures. Are you ready to make new memories with this sweet pup?
Dogs in our program are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and given a physical examination by a veterinarian prior to adoption.
Mickey is currently in foster care so, if interested, please email us today!
