Cahira's story is a unique one. We're not sure where her life began, but she was found by a Good Samaritan at only two weeks old. Her eyes were still closed and on that day, someone was in the right place at the right time! She was taken to one of our partner vets and soon began bottle feeding with one of our foster families. It was this foster family that named her Cahira. In Irish, it means "warrior", and what a trooper this little girl was! She has been shown love and compassion and has turned into such a sweet girl! She has begun receiving her puppy vaccines and will be spayed and microchipped in the coming weeks. If Cahira sounds like the right girl for your family, let us know! Once we have an approved application, we can arrange "meet and greets" and you can have the chance to see how wonderful Cahira truly is!

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Email adopt@thisisthedog.com for an application. We will reply with application attached so you might have to check your spam folder. Complete Adoption Application and return to us at adopt@thisisthedog.com or fax to 305-247-9127

2. Meet with the dog. Bring treats if you would like.

3. Complete Adoption Contract

4. Adoption Donation is $200. Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Microchip, Deworming, and Heartworm Check if needed.

5. Thank you! This is the Dog! does not have a shelter. Our dogs are in boarding and in foster homes primarily in Homestead, FL. We are a small group of volunteers. It is worth the drive South from Miami or North from the Keys to find your canine companion. This Is The Dog! for you!
