Buddy's Story...
Introducing Buddy.

We first met Buddy when we were visiting the shelter in Ripley Tennessee. It's a notoriously bad shelter, as many shelters in the rural south are. This particular shelter was rat infested and has a horrible history of neglect and abuse of the animals there. Somehow Buddy survived there for months. He was the first intake of 2015 - and there he stayed until we got him.

He was slow to warm, and heartworm positive, so we knew that this would be a long road to finding him his perfect forever home. But he has completed his heartworm treatment and, through the love and patience of his foster home, has become a happy and secure dog. It's Buddy's turn to find his family now. His foster works at a doggy day care, so Buddy gets to play with dogs and we would say another canine companion is a requirement for him to be his happiest. He wants to play, likes to hang with people too, but really would be your dogs BFF.

Buddy's adoption fee is $500 and includes his neuter surgery, completion of his heartworm treatment (completed late August 2015), all vaccinations current, microchip, health certificate and transportation from Memphis to your area. Let us know if you are interested in adding this super friendly, all around awesome dog to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Rochester Beagle/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Pointer for sale in Rochester, or seeking a Beagle/Pointer dog from a breeder in Rochester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Pointer breeders who help with Beagle/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester paves the way for another one to be saved.
