Facts about Bobby

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Brown Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
his handsome, super sweet boy is yet another case of abandonment! He was definitely someones pet because he is very lovable and social but then put out when he weren't wanted anymore! He ended up on someone's doorstep last winter looking for shelter and food and luckily the people were kind enough to take him in! We took him to the vet for them to get neutered, vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies and to be tested for feline leukemia and FIV. Unfortunately he tested positive for feline FIV but this is NOT A DEATH SENTENCE, please see below:
He can live a long life like any other cat, he just need to be around other docile cats, dogs or as only children. Since this family has a few cats that don't like him, they have asked us to help find them another place to go. Could you give a WONDERFUL boy a forever home where they will show you how sweet he really are? UPDATE: Since this was posted last December, the family took Bobby in has now put him out of the streets (in this weather!!!) They put him out and did not let him back in again and the poor boy went wandering in search of food somewhere else. Another couple would feed him but would not let him in either and sweet, sweet Bobby just wanted someone’s lap to be on and to be loved, so we took him in and are looking for just that.

Would you be the special person who won’t be afraid of his positive result and give him the love and attention he is wanted so much?

About Castaway Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

Castaway Cats is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit cat rescue based in Bear, DE, comprised entirely of volunteers. We do not have a shelter and all of our cats are in foster homes. This rescue was started in 1992 in an effort to help the homeless and feral cats in our area. Each cat we rescue is spayed/neutered, tested for Feline Leukemia and AIDS, vaccinated with FVCRP and rabies shots, de-wormed and de-fleaed. Because all our cats are spayed or neutered before adoption, we do not adopt out kittens under the age of 12 weeks.
