Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alyssa is a young cat, probably 5-6 months old, who will lay in bed and let you rub her belly or her back. She is most affectionate when we laying in bed and she is there. She wants you to lay near her so she does not feel intimidated by your size. She is a little timid when around the house (we are bigger than her and she knows it!!) but I am sure with a bit of love she will come looking for affection all the time. She can be found sleeping on the couch curled up in a little ball when we come home. You have to move slowly when going to pet her or pick her up so you do not scare her. She would do best in a quitter house.
Her black and brown markings are just stunning!! She loves to play with her toys. She can be heard running up and down the hall with her ball with a bell. When relaxing in bed we run our hands under the blankets and she tries to catch it with her paws. Ahh and the treats she can hear the bag open from anywhere in the house. She will come running but she is not a meower so she will just wait for you to give them to her.
You may obtain an online application by logging on to CatAdoptionRI.org or by emailing catadoptionteam@aol.com. All of the cats and kittens are placed with the Rhode Island State mandated proof of spay or neuter. In order to take your new cat or kitten home with you, there must be an approved application prior to any placement. Application approval is usually within 24-48 hours. We, at CATS, are very proud of all of the cats and kittens that we help facilitate finding new forever homes, and work very hard to make sure they are happy, healthy and well socialized. All of the cats and kittens are fed only a high end cat food. We are at the Providence Petco, located at 585 N. Main Street, Providence, RI most Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm and you are welcome to come by and see all the cats and kittens that are looking for new 'Forever Homes'. Hard copy medical records accompany each cat and kitten. Each cat or kitten is completely vetted prior to their placed. The policy is that all of our cats and kittens will be placed spayed or neutered, tested for feline aids/leukemia, and have all age appropriate shots. There will not be any placement of any cat or kitten that has not been spayed or neutered first. There will be no exceptions. This means that there is less out of pocket costs for people who adopt a cat or kitten from us and you will be in 100% COMPLIANCE WITH THE SPAY/NEUTER LAW TOO!
