Dexter's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, and up to date with shots.

Dexter's Story...
Dexter has a whole lotta love to give and a whole lotta belly to rub. He is a big love bug who loves to snuggle with everyone, even dogs. He was brought into our vet office for boarding, but his family never came back to get him. He is 10 years old and has some special needs. He has chronic conjunctivitis that comes and goes, which isn't contagious to people but is contagious to other cats. He will need to be an only cat or in a home with another cat that has conjunctivitis.

It takes a special person to adopt a senior cat with special needs. Are you the hero that Dexter needs? cats@homelesspets.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dexter, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
