Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Caesar is sensationally handsome. “Wow, what a beautiful dog” is something you hear when you’re out with Caesar and people pass or stop to say hi, so you’d have to get used to that if you adopt him. Regal, suave, and with his bright colored eyes, really quite stunning. But he’s not just a pretty face either, Caesar is a sweetheart and very loving with his people. He loves to be close to his humans and has appreciation for your affection. Other loves of Caesars- going for walks or a nice jog to keep up his shape, the great outdoors, car rides, and cozy dog beds. He is house trained and crate trained, and doesn’t mind napping in his kennel while you inevitably need to go out to shop for his treats. He is also good with other dogs, up to date on all vetting, neutered, well mannered and ready for his new family- his new family that hopefully likes big kisses and dog cuddles.
Ceasar definitely has the adorable shar pei face and we’re not exactly sure what else he’s mixed with- whatever it is, it’s beautiful. He’s about 60 lbs and has a unique almost brindled black/brown coat that shows up better in person. We think he is about 5, which is a great age for a family looking for a fully grown, still active but laid back dog that doesn’t have all that high energy puppies have to burn or all the things left to learn about proper house manners. If you need a loyal loving dog in your life, this handsome boy needs a home and has a lot to offer.
Our adoption process works a bit different than other shelters and rescues! Paddy's Paws serves as a coordinator for Houston rescues. We send out the applications, arrange home visits and secure back up fosters for each of the dogs that will be transported here. Like most foster-based organizations, we do not have a facility and set up all appointments on an individual basis. Prior to any meet and greets, we require an approved application so we will need to go through all the steps before having you meet any of the available dogs here in Wisconsin.
If you would like to begin the preapproval process, you can visit this link to fill it out: http://bit.ly/1IIlGFS
We start with the completed application and then check references/vet records. The next step is a homevisit with family and one of our representatives. Once we have gathered all this information, we provide it to the Houston team. Then, we can set up a meet and greet with available dogs.
