My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Jack Daniels is an adorable kitten who has had a rough start and is just getting used to living with a family. He was born as part of a feral litter, and although he's now used to the sights & sounds of being part of a household, he's not yet comfortable being handled by people. He is becoming more comfortable and does allow us to pick him up but he doesn't yet enjoy social time with humans. It will be important for JD to go to a home with someone who is experienced is working with under-socialized cats.

Although JD's love for humans is taking some time to form, he really enjoys other cats. When he sees the adult cats walking around he cries and reaches for them. We would really like to see JD in a home with another cat that he can play with. Although JD loves other cats they don't always love him because he plays quite roughly. When he was young he was the bottom of the totem pole in his litter and none of the other kittens played with him. He didn't learn how to play properly, and now that he's trying he's a bit over the top. It will be important for JD to go to a home with an existing cat that's bigger than he is and that can put up with his antics. Once that will help him learn how to play appropriately.

Despite JD's rough exterior, he has a very soft personality and needs a new mom or dad that will be gentle with him and calm around him. an older, gentle, calm cat that is affectionate with people and that will show JD the ropes will benefit him also. He has great potential, he just needs someone to help show him how to blossom. A little patience and TLC will go a long way with him.

If you think your home could be a good fit for JD, please send us a message at victoriapets@gmail.com, tell us about your home/family, and about your previous experience working with under-socialized cats.
