My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

CHARLIE IS BEING FOSTERED IN ROSEVILLE.
Charlie is best represented by the breed Rhodesian Ridgeback, which is a site hound. Of course we have no knowledge as to his absolute breed, but he seems to fit all the characteristics of a Rhodie including weight expectations. He is only 15 weeks old and already 30-1/2 pounds. He is expected to weigh between 65 and 85 pounds at full maturity. He looks red/golden in color and has a white star on his chest.

Rhodies are affectionate and do well at guarding and being a great companion. Charlie is the sweetest guy ever! He immediately took to our young children and was gentle with them. Large dogs need stimulation and exercise, so the adopter we are looking for should be active and want to spend time with Charlie running and playing. He is at the prime age for learning right now, and already understands not to jump up on me and will sit. It only took a few minutes to accustom him to a harness and leash. I was amazed at how quickly he's learning. Some Rhodies are used for search and rescue although I know nothing about the traits needed to learn this venue so I can't tell you if he would be a good candidate, but my guess is that he would do well.

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vet checked, current on vaccinations, microchipped, groomed, de-wormed, and de-flea'd.
