Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Moe is a 3 year old purebred shih tzu. And this boy is everyone's best friend, he keeps everyone in his foster home in stitches with his hysterical personality. He gets along with all people big or small and all dogs. This little love muffin plays like there is no tomorrow and runs in the yard without a care in the world. Don't believe us check out our Facebook page and you will see his video. So why is he special needs?? Well he has a condition that affects a lot of shih tzu and that is chronic dry eye and will require drops/meds in his eyes for the rest of his life. He doesn't mind the drops and will sit patiently while you do it. Because he has lived his 2-3 years of life with the condition untreated he has developed painful ulcers on both his eyes that are infected. We are actively treating this and we see much improvement with each day. We do notice some deficits in his sight at present and don't know if it is permanent or not until his ulcers are all cleared up. As sad as this is Moe has no idea he is any different than any of the other dogs. He runs (fast I might add) and plays he just occasionally bumps into to stuff (especially in poor lighting) and would certainly have to be watched if you have a pool or a pond. (He falls into his foster mom's quite frequently thank goodness he can swim but can't find his way out so has to be constantly watched). True to his happy go lucky personality he just shakes off the water and takes off running with his friends. He truly is the sweetest, happiest boy on earth! If you are interested in finding out more about this adorable little guy please email barkandrollrescuecompanions@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $225 it includes his annual vaccinations, rabies license, dewormer, vet exam, microchip, neuter, first month of heart worm prevention.
