My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Leo the lion hearted

“God made the cat in order that man might have the pleasure of caressing the lion.” - Fernand Mery

One of the first things people say when they see Leo is, “What a big cat!” And Leo is that, a large tabby boy – sleek and fit and long. He is also a very outgoing and kind cat with a huge heart capable of giving and receiving lots of love.

A young cat, Leo still likes to play and prefers that a person is at the other end of the cat toy to make the game more interesting. When playtime is over he thoroughly enjoys a petting session, preferably with him lying in the sun. On his own, you may see him draped over the cat tree platform, content and comfortable with life.

Come to the Coronado Animal Care Facility to meet Leo – he will be one of the first cats to welcome you and will sit with you to give you the pleasure of caressing the lion.

The Coronado Animal Care Facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). The facility is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.

If you are interested in adopting Leo, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.

If you have any questions, please contact the Cat Adoption Team online or call Bob at 619-840-9727.
