In the cold winter month of December four tiny kittens were seen eating out of garbage cans while there mother watched from a far. Feral we were not able to help them as quick as we had hoped but within days managed to rescue the family of five. The kittens were no older than 5-6 weeks and mamma was no spring chicken. Scared and afraid as feral tend to be we named the kittens Scrappy, Feisty, Sage' and Dribbles after their strong personalities. All but one remain with us a year later and have gained trust including mamma. Scrappy has opened up and become a very friendly boy. In fact those who do not know of his past swear that he could never have been a feral simply based on how affectionate he is. Scrappy's gorgeous medium/long hair requires grooming and brushing to maintain his beautiful long locks. Very playful Scrappy will tend to act hard to get in attempts to gain his companions attention and treats. His weakness is wet canned food which turns him into an acrobatic gymnast (lol). Scrappy will do great once inside of his future home which is why we hope to find his purrr-fect companion soon.
