In the cold winter month of December four tiny kittens were seen eating out of garbage cans while there mother watched from a far. Feral we were not able to help them as quick as we had hoped but within days managed to rescue the family of five. The kittens were no older than 5-6 weeks and mamma was no spring chicken. Scared and afraid as feral tend to be we named the kittens Sage'. Feisty, Scrappy, and Dribbles after their strong personalities. All but one remain with us a year later and have gained trust including mamma. Sage'has been afraid since being rescued over a year ago. Despite being able to approach, hold and touch her she has not opened up enough to actually approach anyone except children. This beautiful girl will flourish in a home of her own where she alone can have one on one bonding with her companions. Sage' is a very special girl that requires her future adopter be patient, gentle and kind in addition her companion should be experienced and knowledgeable in caring for animals like her.
