Tiki's Story...
Tiki is an adorable 7 year old Puggle (Pug/Beagle mix). Despite having a tough life and being surrounded to a kill shelter, Tiki is super friendly, engaging and enchanting. Tiki was formerly owned by an elderly person who could no longer care for him. His charismatic personality has made him THE VOLUNTEER FAVORITE. To meet him is to love him. Tiki weighs 36 but he is a bit too chubby, he could stand to lose 4 pounds and we are sure he will now that he is on a healthy diet. Previously he was fed only scraps from the table. Tiki is in good health, he is a sweet dog that enjoys his walkies, he is quite spry but not overactive. He would make a great family pet or even a companion for an older person. Please contact 718.595.2161 or email fofadopt@nyc.rr.com for more information on Tiki.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tiki, a Oakland Gardens Beagle/Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Pug for sale in Oakland Gardens, or seeking a Beagle/Pug dog from a breeder in Oakland Gardens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland Gardens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland Gardens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Pug breeders who help with Beagle/Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland Gardens paves the way for another one to be saved.
