River is a wonderful black long haired male cat of about 5 years. He has one eye and is deaf. Life has not been kind to River. He was abandoned in the parking lot of a local animal shelter. A note taped to his carrier said that he lost his eye as a kitten due to an upper respiratory infection and he is deaf. When River came to us, he was completely covered in one large mat. His hardened, dirty fur came off in one piece like a carpet. Despite all of this, River is a loving and curious cat. He's super friendly and only looks forward. We think he's pretty much perfect.
