Oregano's Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Oregano's Story...
Oregano and Okra are likely brother and sister, and arrived as strays who are still unclaimed. We are estimating their date of birth as 4/1/15; they are still kittens, very playful and affectionate, and enjoy all sorts of people and other cats. They should do well as indoor-only or indoor-outdoor cats, and can be adopted separately, together, or with another of their friends from their cat room (they are currently sharing with Orbitz and Pumpkin). Oregano and Okra will do well in any sort of family group, from a big boisterous child-filled home to a studious somber single.

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Oregano is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oregano, a Republic Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Republic, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
