Tink's Story...
Sweet Tink (Tinkerbell) came to Rutherford Rescue Ranch with her sister, Toodles, and brother, Timmy. The three chihuahuas we part of a family for their entire lives and were very much loved by their mom. The trio unfortunately were unable to stay in their home due to family problems that were not suitable for the dogs any longer. Their mom made the tough decision to surrender her beloved dogs to rescue in order for them to have a better life. We have found that Tink is EXTREMELY outgoing and loves every one and everything ! Tink was giving kisses the first time her foster family held her, and the kisses and cuddles haven't stopped from this precious girl. We have been told that she has lived with children ages 2,6, &10 and did very well with them. Tink is crate trained AND her previous owner stated that she is potty trained... we have found this to be true! While Tink is enjoying herself at the RRR she is looking for a furever home... could it be yours?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tink, a Pittsburgh Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Pittsburgh, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Pittsburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pittsburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pittsburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pittsburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
