My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Breed: Jack Russell mix
DOB: 2004
Sex: Neutered male
Weight: 14 pounds

Eggbert is a super cute, loving, little jrt mix. He is around 10 lbs & 11 years old. When we got Eggie from the shelter, he contracted a pretty bad case of kennel cough. As his breathing got worse, we discovered that he was also having problems because of his heart. After some meds, & a night in the oxygen cage at the vet, his breathing was a lot better. He is now on a couple of low cost meds, & has not had any more issues with his heart. One of the meds he takes is a diuretic, & makes it so that he leaks pee in his sleep. We either put him in a belly band, or he sleeps on a washable pad. Because of the meds, he also needs plenty of trips outside.
Eggie will bark when people come over, but makes friends quickly. He is very good with my dog savvy 6 year old, & the other dogs in our home. He likes to chase my cats & chickens, but has never done more than scare them.
Eggs would love to have a stay at home parent in need of a lap dog to love & spoil. He is very sweet & cuddly. He is good on a leash & likes to go on short walks, as long as the weather is fairly mild. He spends the cold days in our heated dog bed, & hot days in front of the air-conditioning vent.
