Facts about Eve

  • Breed: Boxer Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn - With White
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Eve is a short haired boxer mix born fall 2014 who lost her home when her previous owner moved to Germany for 3 years with the Army and could not take her to Germany. Highly devoted to her caregiver, Eve would make a fine companion to someone working from home or a cat lover who wanted to add a cat-safe dog to the household. She's spayed, vaccinated, current on heartworm prevention., and microchipped. She loves long walks, frolicking in water, and snuggling close for tv viewing. Eve was born with kneecaps that pop in and out of place (luxating patellas). It doesn't stop her from running, just causes her to look stiff legged on the hind end when she runs. She shows no evidence of pain. This imperfection is part of who Eve is. We hope an adopter who wants a close doggie companion will accept her as she is. Adoption fee is waived for an approved home. Email for an adoption application for happy Eve.

About Petsaver-NC Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Petsaver-NC is an all volunteer rescue group for dogs and puppies and sometimes kittens located near Chapel Hill, NC. Most of the animals in the network are rescued from local shelters. All animals are provided appropriate routine medical care and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Foster caregivers keep the animals at their homes until appropriate permanent homes are located for the animals. Petsaver-NC is a no-kill organization. Currently we also have rescued horses in our foster program.

Visit our Facebook page at to view postings and pictures of recently adopted pets and their new families, meet our volunteers at work, or to post comments about dogs you adopted from Petsaver-NC. We'd love to hear your happy ending stories.

VOLUNTEERS: Petsaver-NC is recruiting volunteers who share our mission of finding homes for rescued dogs and pups. We currently need enthusiastic people to walk dogs, teach them basic commands, take dogs for outings to expose them to new situations, and to handle shy dogs who lack confidence. It's a rewarding experience to transform an insecure, inexperienced rescued dog into a confident, well-mannered, more adoptable dog who will find a forever home much easier thanks to the caring help of a dog-loving person. While you're walking for exercise or to lose weight, why not take a dog who needs human contact along with you? We invite adults, scouts, homeschooled families, or students looking for extra volunteer community service hours to join us at Petsaver-NC. Petsaver NC currently works with several high schools to help students earn school credit and mandatory service hours.

DONATIONS: Petsaver-NC currently has a need for the following new or used items:
collars, leashes, dog or puppy food (canned or dry), metal or plastic bowls, shampoo, disinfectants, tennis balls, towels, blankets, worn clothing that could be used as rags or crate bedding, stuffed toys, doggie bones, treats, crates, and copy paper. If you can donate any of these items, we thank you.

Our Adoption Process...

Please email for an application or to inquire about one of our adoptable pets. Adoption donation of $195 for dogs or $135 for cats partially covers the cost of food and pet supplies, spaying or neutering, vet exam, deworming, heartworm testing/prevention, flea prevention, and age appropriate vaccinations. Adoption fee for equines varies. We allow a two week trial period for all adoptions to be sure the pet works out well in the adopter's environment. The adoption fee is refunded during the trial period upon return of the animal and the health records if the adoption does not work out. We supply adopters with literature on training your adopted pet to ensure a happy outcome for both adopter and animal. Adopters must be at least 22 years old and financially independent. Appointments are scheduled to meet the animals at the foster home upon receipt of an online application.
