Courtney's Story...
"This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine."

If there was a theme song for Miss Courtney, this would certainly be it. Some personalities shine in even the darkest times, this is the case with Courtney. We first met this love bug as we do many of our beloved rescues, on her last day at Memphis Animal Services. She was in her 11th hour, a heartworm positive, bully breed, things seemed pretty grim for her. But you know what? She had no idea. She danced and pranced when we talked to her, she was good with kids and paid no attention to other dogs. She exuded happiness and we couldn't let her die that day. So we adopted her, got her all fixed up and now she's ready to find her forever family where she can shine on....

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Courtney, a Brattleboro Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Brattleboro, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Brattleboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brattleboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brattleboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brattleboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
