My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m Colby! I’m a handsome white and black boy, and I decided that Halloween is going to be my best holiday, since I already have the perfect mask. I am absolutely planning on going trick or treating next year with my forever family.

I just had my 2nd birthday on Veterans’ Day. I’m a little shy, so I didn’t celebrate with a lampshade on my head or anything, but I sure am happy to be starting my new life as a pet here in the kennel. There are many of my kind to play with, and these beings that are called people, too. I was pretty reserved when I first met them, but warmed up very quickly when they talked nicely to me and gave me pets, toys, and treats. I hear that a forever home is even better!

I have never met a small dog, so I don’t know how I feel about them, but I have met a cat. I was very relieved when they told me that I won’t be allowed to live with one. Whew! Colby is not small dog tolerant.

FOSTER UPDATE:

Colby is happy, playful, outgoing, silly and very loveable....with people he knows and trusts. He is still working on trusting men, but making great progress.

He enjoys short walks, gives kisses, and REALLY enjoys treats! He will be a dog who needs time to trust his surroundings, but I have seen a normal, playful dog lurking beneath his caution, so I know he is capable of it.
