Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you are looking for a GREAT family dog, Otis is your boy! He is the very definition of man's best friend. Sweet, lovable, gentle, loyal, playful and compassionate, that's Otis. Otis has a beautiful coat and is unusual in his markings, making for an extremely handsome dog who is a nice sleek and lean 25 lbs. He is full grown, but only a year old, so he still has lots of energy and pep. Otis needs a big fenced in back yard where he can run and play. He would enjoy being in a home where he can spend lots of quality time with his human. He would love to be your walking buddy and walks great on a leash. He loves to play with his toys, retrieve, and go on outings. He plays great with other dogs. When he comes in to be with the family, he settles down nicely and will spend hours letting you pet him. He likes to lie across your lap and be close. He is wonderful with men, women, children, dogs and cats. He is not an aggressive dog at all. It is good for him to have lots of toys and chew things. He enjoys them a lot. If you leave things like shoes laying around, he will get them and stockpile them on his bed, but so far, he hasn't been chewing them up. Otis does not like to be confined in a crate. If left while the owner goes out, he would be better baby gated in a laundry room and only crated for periods of less than 2 hours. Otis sleeps quietly on his bed all night and eats twice a day. He has a good appetite and works up quite a thirst with his playfulness. He is not necessarily categorized as a dog who does not shed, but he really doesn't. Otis is an overall wonderful friendly dog who would do well with any family. He just wants to be loved all the time and he definitely gives it back! He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, parasite free, and current on Trifexis. He is located in Huntsville, AL but is available for adoption in your area. You can fill out an application for this sweet boy here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/
