Hershey's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Hershey's Story...
Hershey had a rough start – she was found chained to a tree. Knowing that was no way for this sweet girl to live, her foster home asked the owners to surrender her and they did. Now, she loves life! She is about four years old and loves to run and fetch as you can see in her video and likes water too. Hershey is housebroken, crate-trained. She would love a family with kids and would be fine in a home with or without other dogs. Like any lab, she has a lot of energy and would do best with a family that has experience with labs or other higher energy breeds. Though she enjoys snuggling on the couch, she will need daily exercise too. Hershey is spayed, up to date on her vaccines, microchipped and current on heartworm prevention. She is being fostered in Alabama, but is available for transport to your area. Her adoption fee (including transportation) is $400. You can email info@FORrescue.net for more information on Hershey, or submit your application here: http://forrescue.net/new-england-area-dog-app/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Smithton Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Smithton, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Smithton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithton paves the way for another one to be saved.
