This 6 to 7 year old guy is absolutely precious. Gentle, loving, goofy, just a pleasure to live with. He is an average sized guy, about 65 pounds, with a permanent head tilt and droopy kind of sad eyes. He’s a healthy guy with healed scars to show for his journey to ABR; he’s heartworm negative and always at ease. Malik has an unusual reverse brindle coat with just a touch of flashy white here and there.

He prefers to amble along and capture any unsuspecting lap for a nap, but he’ll gladly amp it up if one of the dogs asks him to play along the way. He asked one of his guests, a cat, to play but she declined. Kids flock to him at ABR adoption events where he will reward their hugs with a tiny little kiss and a nibble on their nose. Malik really is unique; not only with a gorgeous reverse brindle coat and a delightful face with a permanent tilt, but also with a an easy going “let’s just laugh and play and nap” approach to life that is infectious.

Our Adoption Process...

1. Fill out an Online Adoption Application

2.Your application will be reviewed and sent to a volunteer in your area. The volunteer will contact you to schedule a home visit within one week. There is a $25.00 fee for a volunteer to come to your house for a home visit. This fee is non-refundable, but will be applied to the adoption fee when the adoption is finalized.

3. After your home visit is complete and you are approved you can begin meeting dogs. The person who met with you during your home visit will assist you in this process.

Adult 1-5 years: $250
Adult 6-9 years: $150
Silverhearts (10 and over): no adoption fee
Bonded pairs: $400
Boxer Mix (Adult): $150
Boxer Mix (Puppy): $200
