Baby Jean's Story...
My name is Baby Jean. I am a lab mix that was likely born around the middle of September. Right now I am really small (about 5lbs and 6” tall), but I will likely be a big dog!

I am a quiet, playful girl that loves to be playing with a ball or toy with my sisters. I am independent, but I still like to be around my pack and my people. I am very submissive but will let my sisters know if they are being too rough with me. Since I am still a pup I love to play, nap and get into trouble. My foster mom thinks I would do well in a home that is going to take the time to teach, socialize and cuddle me. I am the baby of the group.

If I sound like the perfect pup for you, you can fill out an adoption application and send it to the lovely people at New Hope.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby Jean, a Saskatoon Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
