Here's what the humans have to say about me:
RICHIE is a 5 1/2 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 58 pounds. Richie is a very nice boy. He knows the sit command. Richie is good with other dogs. From transporter: Richie is sweet! He wants to be a lap dog and craves attention. Richie traveled very well. He hopped right into the car and settled down very quickly. I got a few nuzzles during the trip, but he was very quiet for the whole ride. Richie was found as a stray by someone and kept for over a month, but they couldn't afford him so brought him to the shelter. Richie has a skin condition that has caused some hair loss. He is taking an anti-fungal medication and will need weekly medicated baths. He is approved for kids 10+. ++
Update (12/06): Richie is a smaller guy who just wants lots of human attention. His fur has started to grow in but his chest and belly are mostly skin and peach fuzz. He gobbles his food and treats. Working on both with a slow feeder and a closed hand for treats. He is good on walks but seemed a little nervous at first. He's not bothered by cars driving by or dogs walking by. Richie really loves to be near his human....like a shadow. He enjoyed retrieving toys in the house and chewing them up. His skin doesn't cause him to itch. He was very flaky on his back when he got here. He is crate trained. He will run to his crate when I get his treat ready before I leave. Richie would prefer a quieter household. He could probably be happy living with one dog but doesn't need another dog to be happy.
Update (12/01): Richie is very friendly with all the dogs he's met at the kennel. Everyone loves him. He's waiting patiently for a foster home and/or to have someone go meet him. His fur is starting to grow back!
