Hi, hello, how are you doing?, can we play??? My name is Macy, and I’m a 10mo (4/10 dob approx) blind Catahoula Leopard Dog baby. Or at least they tell me I’m blind, but I honestly have doubts. I have zero fear and love love LOVE to play and run and jump, and, and, and.......
I’m not bad on a leash, but I need a seeing-eye-human, because (did I mention that I have no fear?!) I love to hop and jump right into stuff when you take me out on a leash. In fact, my foster mommy says I’m half jack rabbit, because when I’m outside, I like to hop when I run, and I just hop straight up off the ground like I have springs in my feet. All I know is that I like to have fun, and I’m 100% happy to be alive and loved! And I take full advantage of it, and I just love everything and everybody.
The way I came to NMSGDR is sad, and I’ll tell you about it, but I certainly don’t want to dwell on it, because it’s pretty pitiful. A sweet angel was driving down a back country road and saw me lying on the side of the road, and he assumed I was a hit/dead dog. When he came back through with his headlights on, I raised up my head (I’m blind you know!), so he stopped. Thank goodness he did, because I was scared and didn’t know what to do other than just to lie down and give up. I was blind and alone in the middle of nowhere and....well, that’s enough of that!!! I’m here, and I’m the happiest dog in my foster home, and I just love everybody and love playing! Let’s leave it at that.
So, I’ve mentioned that I just love and love and love. My foster mommy will pull me up in her lap and cuddle me, and I just eat that up! When she cuddles with me, she puts me on my back like a baby, and I lay my head over on her shoulder and just absorb all the love. Loving and cuddling are the only things I love more than playing. And speaking of playing, I am perfectly at ease with playing with 200lb Danes, right down to 30lb Beagles, and kitties! Just play with me, and I’m happy!!!! My foster mommy says I’m one of the most special babies, EVER, and I believe her...heeehee that gets me more lovin!
