Hi. I'm ready for adoption. Read on to learn more about me!
Hello there! I'm Macy, and I want to play!! I'm a 3yo blind Catahoula (approx DOB 5/12), but don't think that gets in my way, because I just run and jump and am constantly on the go. I love to play with EVERYBODY (except cats, which I truly believe taste like chicken!!) and don't believe for a second that I'm not as big as my Dane foster brothers and sisters. I play with them constantly and really need active dogs in my home. I love cookies and playing and cuddling, and basically just love life. My foster mom says that I'm half jackrabbit, because when I'm outside, I hop and hop like I a little gazelle. I probably couldn't be an only dog, because I just need a companion, but I don't care if they're big or little or what sex or color or anything of that nature...I'm an equal opportunity playmate! You need to know though that on the leash, I know NO fear!! I need a seeing-eye-human, because I will just play and jump and hop and romp until I feel tension on the leash, and then I know my human is looking out for me and keeping me safe. I do love to cuddle, and when my foster mom pulls me up into her lap, I just embrace the experience and throw my cute little face over her shoulder to cuddle with her. And I just love it when she kisses my face...she calls that giving her some Mace-face! All in all, my foster mom says I'm a complete doll and will make any active family the perfect baby.
The intake info: This is Macy, a 5mo blind baby girl with a super sad beginning. A man was driving down a country road when he saw a dog lying motionless on the side of the road. Assuming the dog was hit by a car and was dead, the man continued driving, however, on his way back past the dog, she raised up her head. This kind man stopped and discovered that she was in fact not hit and not even injured (only slightly malnourished and covered in fleas), but obviously blind. So we can only assume that this terrified baby, unable to find her way in the middle of nowhere, simply laid down and gave up (If that doesn’t bring tears to your eyes!!....to be 3mos old and lost, but 3mos old and lost AND blind, how terrifying!). This girl is the most loving and playful little thing and was the belle of the ball at our recent event, stealing every heart that passed by. All you have to do is speak, and that tail starts wagging like crazy, because she just loves everyone.
