Zoey's Story...
Zoey – Shepherd Mix
Look at what a beauty Zoey is! Zoey is a very sweet girl who does well with everyone she meets! Zoey lived with a family for several years and knows some basic commands such as sit, shake and down. She is house-trained and kennel-trained. She loves to go on walks and does pretty well on a leash. She also loves to run outside. Zoey is a larger girl so she will need a family that can give her space to play and exercise. Zoey is about 4 years old and weighs about 70 pounds. She is spayed, heartworm negative, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations. Zoey does pretty well with other dogs, but does not like them to overwhelm her. She was surrendered to our rescue because her prior guardians were too overwhelmed with a senior dog and a special needs child. We know that there is a good family out there that can give Zoey the forever home that she so desperately craves. If you are interested in meeting Zoey, please complete an application at ITVrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Evansville Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
