My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rough diamonds may sometimes be mistaken for worthless pebbles. - Thomas Browne
We are always shocked and dismayed at the constant influx of dumped and abandoned pups that come through southern shelters every day. Particularly heartbreaking when there is absolutely no reason for it. Perfectly beautiful, sweet, and well behaved babies simply needing a chance to shine. Our Pebbles is just one of so many similar stories. Pebbles was dumped at a southern high kill shelter even though she never did anything wrong other than being born as part of an unwanted litter due to ignorance, apathy, and stupidity. Pebbles is a beautiful 4 month old liver and white Pointer/Hound mix with stunning amber eyes that will take your breath away. She currently weighs 22 lbs and should be around 50 lbs when full grown. She is a sweet gentle little lass who has a lifetime of love to give. Pebbles is a happy go lucky puppy who is working very hard at being a big girl. Foster mom says she is doing very well with her house and crate training. She does very well on leash and is learning some basic commands. Pebbles, like most puppies, will need some awesome chew toys to get through the teething phase. Foster mom says she adores squeaky toys (well they are pretty awesome). Puppies will be puppies so supervision is a must for her safety and the safety of furniture, shoes, socks....you get the picture. Pebbles is wonderful with other dogs, kids, and cats. She just wants to run around and have fun during the day and lay sweetly in your lap or by your side at evenings end. Pebbles is a never ending source of warm puppy kisses and who doesn't love puppy kisses? Pebbles is already spayed (she will play no part in furthering the amount of unwanted litters). She is up to date on all vaccinations and current on preventatives. This sweet baby girl was tossed away like a worthless rock but she is so very much more. She is truly a diamond in the rough waiting for a forever loving home where she will be further polished and forever shine radiantly as an adored family member
