Olivia's Story...
Hello, humans - my name is Olivia, and I am a 1-2 year old, female, petite, Golden mix. I am so grateful to be in the arms of AGK. I was found at an abandoned trailer park with many other stray dogs, starving to death. I also contracted mange. If it had not been for the Animal Control people, the shelter, and AGK, I would have never made it! So far, AGK has witnessed that I have a sweet spirit and like to wiggle and giggle. When I go into foster, I will send you updates. Stay tuned and thank you - xo Olivia

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olivia, a Danbury Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
