My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Miles....
And it actually has a reason behind it. See many years ago my human dad drove a semi trailer for a living. I was his shotgun rider. It was many a long night (but cats are nocturnal you know) and time away from home. But we loved it. Then he retired so I did too. We had a nice place in the country. I could come and go as I pleased. Life was good. But then my human dad passed away. As luck would have it, the owner of the house my dad had rented loved cats. She paid the next renter to let me stay there and take care of me. Which they did. But then THEY moved away. And the house was sold. And I started to wonder what would become of me.
I must be a lucky cat. A nice woman drove 2 hours from GR to Ann Arbor to get me. She pulled up in her fancy car. When she called my name I came out. She packed me into her car and we took a long drive. It reminded me of days gone by. Then I arrived at this place where there are tons of other cats. But we are in cages. I do not like being confined. I spend a lot of time sleeping and pretending I like it here. I want them to keep feeding me that stuff that comes in a can! But I am a guy who does what I want when I want to do it, and seems to me like that isn't allowed here. I mean yes I have food and a comfy bed. I am sure they would love for me to say it's a kitty heaven. But for me....not so much.
They aren't allowing us cats in the intake area to have internet access. Or I would take matters into my own paws and get the hell out of here. Go someplace where there are trees and lush grass, and someone to love me. I need your help to find a new home where I can go out. Or stay in. I am getting older so staying in may be more appealing to me than it was 5 years ago. But I may still want a safe outdoor area to patrol as well. Do you anyone with a set up like this who would let me come live with them?

Miles is approx 10-12 years old, neutered male, available for adoption to indoor/outdoor home. ***He would have to be kept inside for awhile so that he learns where his new home is, before allowing him full access to the great outdoors. And while we do not advocate for friendly cats being outdoors (due to obvious dangers of being outside), some cats are accustomed to being outside and to deny them that option would break their spirit.***
