My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Rosie, an 18-month old, female, Golden Retriever mix. Rosie was surrendered by her owner to animal control, who could not take her and planned to euthanize her. She was rescued thanks to the generous heart of her foster mom who stepped in to save her on the spot!

She was very uncertain and shy when first rescued, but within a few short hours, she has already bonded with her foster family and dogs. Rosie is extremely friendly and loving, and she is great with children, even young ones. She is sweet, playful, and desperate for a human to belong to once and for all!

Rosie has been to the vet; she has been brought up to date on all her shots, and she has received heart worm preventative (6 months) and flea/tick treatment for 4 months. She is 50lbs, and the vet estimates that Rosie may grow to be up to 60lbs once she receives consistent and good nutrition. Once an adopter has been approved, Rosie will also be spayed prior to going to her new home.

Rosie is heartworm positive, but her condition is not contagious! Also, her treatment is easy and involves simply adding two medications (which are purchased by our rescue group) to her food once a day for the next 12 months. Rosie will also need a new home/family that will allow her to get only moderate activity and exercise while undergoing treatment.

Please contact us for additional pictures and videos of Rosie. An adoption contract, modest rehoming fee, and references required for adoption.
