Here's what the humans have to say about me:
DANDY is a 1 year old neutered black male Lab who weighs 31 pounds. Dandy is a petite, sweet, and calm puppy who rode great in the car with his head on driver's arm for hours. We don't have a lot of information about him yet, but we do know that he's not a big puller on the leash, he's super friendly with other dogs, and he likes to get love. Dandy was a stray to the shelter. He is approved for kids 10+.
Update (12/13): Dandy was a hit at the adoption event! He's well behaved for a youngster and did great with all the people and other dogs. He's still looking for his forever family where he can get playtime, love, and cuddles! Watch Dandy here: https://youtu.be/dKQY-W7KAuk
Update (12/07): Oh what a DANDY! This sweet little dude is adorable and sweet! He's estimated to be about a year old - his play style makes me think he might be a little younger, but he's so calm when playtime is over, he just melts into your lap. Or the lap of whomever is handy. Dandy got to hang out with a group of women that came over for dinner, and they took turns snuggling him on their laps. He got a bit itchy at the kennel but now that he's out and clean and eating well, his itching has practically stopped and his little bits of missing hair should grow in fast. He's so smart. He knows sit, down and shake. He sits at mealtimes without his foster mom even asking, and loves to be loved on and petted. He sleeps through the night, and gets along great with the resident pack. He also hung out with a group of 9 other dogs for a bit this weekend and had a blast playing with them - he's a very submissive boy, but isn't afraid to play with dogs three times his size. He even stole the frisbee a few times.
Update (12/04): Dandy has arrived at his foster home! This little bit of a thing is so adorable. He snuggled on a dog bed with an antler and happily occupied himself on the hour plus ride. He is such a sweet little goof - he was thrilled to explore the yard and has a happy and fun run-scoot combination. He found a rooster toy in the yard (that sounds like a rooster) and was hilariously tilting his head trying to figure out what it was, and then ran playing and tossing it. He went right in the crate for a treat so foster mom could go to work, and protested a little bit, but was silent and sleeping when she came home to check on him a few hours later. He's very loving and likes to sit on your feet and get love and scratches.
