This knock dead gorgeous boy came to us when the Chicago Cubs were in the play-off. While the baseball team didn’t hit the jackpot, Cubbie did. He was rescued and nursed back to health. This fast-paced and fun loving dude does not sit on the bench or sidelines. He is all action and drive.
Cubbie loves to chase the toy balls in the foster home. They need to be fairly large and sturdy and have a loud squeak. Cubbie was in poor weight, intestinal parasites, and may have been confined and lacked exercise to run. With meds and good food, there is a significant improvement. One thing though, his teeth are worn down. What we now know, that along with his teeth and front nails… he loves to moves ROCKS, and the bigger the better. When he is outside and you hear him whining, he has found a rock or patio block to move or try and pick up in his mouth.
This is a very active shepherd that needs an active family. He listens well, gets along with most large dogs, no cats, or small children. He will need a yard with a 6ft fence and plenty of exercise. He does need help with walking nicely on a leash. No prong or choke collars for correction are allowed, this boy responds well to positive re-enforcement.
