Sam IV (Sammie)'s Story...
Hi there. I’m Sam, a 4 month old little girl. I weigh 33 lbs. I was found by a Good Samaritan when I was very small and I was in pretty bad shape. He took me in and started nursing me back to health. AGB promised to help me find a forever home. They had me spayed and are treating a skin and ear infection for me, but I am ready to be adopted. I am a sweet, happy, girl who loves people, lots of petting and other dogs. I have never been around cats. I would really, really like to find my forever family so if you think that could be you, please submit an application to adopt and ask to meet me, Sam. Please visit me at www.adoptagoldenbirmingham.com or call 205-290-7788 or email info@adoptagoldenbirmingham.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam IV (Sammie), a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
