Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dovahkiin (Dova-keen) is an approximately 9 to 11month old bearded dragon. He's a little small for his age due to poor previous husbandry, but his name is mighty. We do not know at this time if Dovahkiin is indeed male or female and as such he/she will need to be a single beardie. His adoption fee is $50 and this does not include his tank or other equipment.
Dovahiin is very animated little beardie though and when you talk to him he cocks his head sideways at you as if he is listening very intently. He also really enjoys cuddling, being petted and riding around on your shoulders or chest.
His favorite thing though is breakfast & dinner time! He is a very good eater and loves a variety of fresh leafy greens and veggies as well as crickets, cockroaches, and phoenix worms. He can easily be fed by hand as well. Overall, he's a chill little guy that is quiet and easy to care for.
Because we don't know Dovahkiin's sex at this time he/she will need to be the only beardie in his/her tank for the time being and can not be adopted as a bond mate as we do not advocate breeding.
RCHS bearded dragons live in loving foster homes where they are socialized and fed an appropriate age based diet of crickets, phoenix worms, and dark leafy green vegetables. They are kept in appropriate sized aquariums for their length and age and provided with UVB and basking bulbs as well as appropriate cage accessories. Bearded dragons do require a vet trained in exotic animal medicine and have special housing and dietary needs. We encourage you to please research bearded dragons thoroughly before adopting.
