Tessa's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Tessa's Story...
Can I put your love to the test? Are you willing to be patient and gentle, give me the time and stability I need to finally feel safe and secure? I am still just a babe, only a year old, and already thrown for a loop. With so many recent changes it’s no surprise that I am feeling so uneasy, but I am gaining confidence day by day, and I just know that there is a kind and gentle person out there who will be just perfect for me. I do get along great with other dogs and kitty cats too, but young children are a bit much for me to handle. How I long for a family with kids 10+, where I will be shown all the love, kindness, and patience I deserve. How about you come on in and put me to the test…give me a little time, and I promise your heart is no match for my love! 1 year old-13lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes spay, microchip & registration, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tessa, a Portland Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
