AugieCP's Story...
COURTESY POST

Augie was found in a managed cat colony in October 2015. We think he was born about July of 2015. He had a rough start as a baby so has some nasal issues. Sometimes they can clear up in a different environment that is less furry or dusty. He helps with cleaning and loves to follow the broom around. He follows his foster mom like a dog. Augie loves attention and has a great purr. Anything can become a toy, including the toilet paper roll. He is a playful charming little soul.

If you are interested in adopting Augie, please contact the Please Don't Litter rescue group at 717-574-3948 (text or call), 717-579-7606 (call), or kittykrazykim@frontiernet.net (email).

Adoption fee is $50. Application is required with references. If another kitty is adopted from Please Don't Litter, adoption fee will be adjusted.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

AugieCP, a Carlisle Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Carlisle, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Carlisle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlisle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlisle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlisle paves the way for another one to be saved.
