Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SUPER MODEL! Will you look at our little Saxer's cover shot!? He's currently one of the dogs featured on the Kombucha Dog bottles! You can get them in local restaurants and stores and can find out more about the product at www.kombuchadog.com
Saxer Redford is a 4 year old Lab/Shar Pei or pit mix? He's about 70lbs (needs to get out there walking and hiking, could you be the one to help him drop a few pounds?)
He has such a horrible start to his life, he was found in the desert, covered in ticks and full of scars from fighting. Despite his horrible past, he is the sweetest boy! He's very friendly and loves to get attention. He's fixed and updated on all shots. He is obedience trained and he is good with other large dogs, but not small dogs. Needs a strong owner that understands he can react to small dogs. It's not an issue if you are aware that he needs extra supervision around small dogs. We have not cat tested him.
His personality is just a silly, happy, bouncy boy that thinks everything is the most exciting experience ever....he is very fun and entertaining. He has a bonded best friend, Kate shown in one of his photos. We would love for them to be adopted together, but if the right comes along and they only wanted Saxer, we will of course split them up as he deserves to be loved and Kate has other friends she can play with if he leaves.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Saxer, please fill out an application that is on the Pet Rescue and Education page or e-mail us at adoptions@apeaction.org. He is currently in a foster home and would love an adoptive home.
