Emu's Story...
Hi. My name is EMU and I’m a 3 year old male ORANGE TABBY cat. I am very fortunate that Posh Pets rescued me from an overcrowded high kill shelter before time ran out. Folks that have met me say that I am EXTREMELY SWEET and FRIENDLY. They also usually comment on my HANDSOME good looks. I LOVE TO PLAY with my toys and I tend to be a FRISKY little guy. That is why it is important that I am adopted into a home with another cat or kitten so that I will have a FELINE COMPANION to pal around and snuggle with. I am neutered, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

To meet me, fill out the CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emu, a Long Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
