I am already spayed, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Annalise's Story...
DOB 3/16/14 Annalise is a precious little wire-haired dachshund! She loves people, but isn't crazy about other dogs or cats - she likes to be the boss when it comes to them. She is a very nice little girl, who was pulled from the city shelter. She's crate trained and easy to get along with. If you are looking for a sweet companion, Annalise would be perfect! She just wants to be with you-- on the sofa, in the bed, she doesn't care as long as it's by your side. She doesn't have any health problems, and is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative. Her adoption fee is $400.00 and transport fee is $140.00.
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.

After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.

Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Annalise, a Greenville Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Greenville, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Greenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Greenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Greenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Greenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
