Nola's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Nola's Story...
Nola is currently in New Orleans with LBR but can be easily transported up to Putnam, Ct. using Rescue Road Trips for an additional $185 transport fee.

Beautiful 4 year old Nola is an owner give-up through no fault of her own. The family felt that they could no longer take care of her. Nola is in great health - heartworm negative, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is super sweet, great with people and other dogs. She walks well on a leash, is house trained and is great in the car.
Our adoption fee is $300. We require that our dogs live indoors and prefer a securely fenced yard. We do home visits and check vet references prior to an adoption. Please email me at QueenB534@aol.com for more information and to request an application. Once approved for adoption, I will put you in touch with Nola's foster family. We also require that our dogs be on monthly year round heartworm prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nola, a Folsom Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Folsom, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Folsom.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Folsom already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Folsom breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Folsom paves the way for another one to be saved.
